Our Story

How We Got Into Building Decks

We build and repair decks for homeowners across the Las Vegas valley, from a first deck off a new patio slider to fixing one that's twenty years old and starting to sag. Most of us came up doing framing and rough carpentry before specializing in decks, because outdoor structures take a different kind of punishment than anything indoors.

If you're on this page, chances are a board has gone soft, a post has started to lean, or the whole thing just doesn't feel steady when you walk across it. We check the ledger flashing and the footings first, because that's where rot and settling actually start, then work outward to the boards and rails. Clark County requires permits for most attached decks, and we handle the paperwork and inspections. Skipping that step is the reason so many decks get flagged when a house goes up for sale.

We walk the site, measure, and give you a number in writing that breaks down labor and material. If something changes once we open up the deck, we talk to you before we spend the money.

Material Options

We carry pressure-treated pine, cedar and composite lines like Trex and TimberTech, and we'll tell you the tradeoffs honestly. Composite costs more up front and requires almost no upkeep, wood costs less and needs restaining every couple of years in this sun.

On-Time Scheduling

Most standard decks take one to two weeks from framing to final board, weather depending. We tell you the schedule up front and let you know right away if a supply delay is going to push it.

How long have you been building decks?

Do you use your own crew or subcontractors?
The same crew handles a deck from footings to final board, rather than passing pieces of the job to different subcontractors. That keeps one set of hands accountable for how the framing lines up with the finished decking.
Can I see photos of decks you've built or repaired?
Photos of completed deck projects, including framing shots before the decking goes on, can be shared on request. Framing photos matter because they show what's actually holding the deck up, which gets covered once the boards are installed.
Why choose a smaller deck builder instead of a large remodeling company?
A dedicated deck builder spends most working days on decks specifically, not spread across kitchens, roofs and additions, which means more direct experience with joist spans, ledger flashing and footing depth. Larger remodeling companies often subcontract deck work out anyway, adding a layer between the homeowner and the person actually building it.
Where are you based and what's your service area?
Deck work is based out of the Las Vegas area and covers the surrounding valley, including Henderson, North Las Vegas and Boulder City. Jobs farther out are considered depending on distance and scope.
How far out are you booking new deck jobs?
Scheduling varies by season, with spring and fall being the busiest months for new deck construction in the Las Vegas area. Calling ahead of when the deck is actually needed gives more flexibility on start dates.
Do you clean up the site after building or repairing a deck?
Job sites get cleared of scrap lumber, old decking, and fasteners at the end of each work day, not just at the end of the project. Full haul-away of demolition debris is included when an old deck is removed.
What happens if something on my property gets damaged during the work?
Deck construction work is covered by liability insurance in case landscaping, siding or another part of the property is damaged during the job. Any damage gets addressed directly rather than left for the homeowner to sort out.
Will you take over a deck project another contractor started or abandoned?
Yes, taking over a partially built or abandoned deck happens fairly often, though the existing framing gets inspected first to confirm it's sound before building on top of it. If the footings or framing don't meet code, that gets corrected before continuing rather than building over a bad foundation.
How can I tell if deck work is being done correctly?
Footings should be inspected and approved before framing goes on top, ledger boards should be flashed where they meet the house, and fasteners should be rated for treated lumber to avoid corrosion. Asking to see the footing depth and ledger flashing before decking is installed is a reasonable request on any deck job.
