Everything we take on

Every job below is one we do ourselves across Las Vegas.

Deck Installation

We dig and pour footings below the loose fill soil, frame with pressure-treated joists and beams sized to span, and set decking on top. Every attached deck gets a flashed ledger board, because that's the connection point where most rot starts. We size posts and beams to the actual span, not just what looks right.

Deck Repair

Soft or spongy boards, a rail that moves when you lean on it, a frame that's started to sag between joists, we see all of it. We pull the deck apart at the failure point instead of just capping over it, because a new board screwed to a rotten joist just fails again in a year. Most repairs get done in a day or two depending on how far the damage has spread.

Deck Staining & Sealing

Vegas sun bakes stain and sealer off a deck faster than almost anywhere else in the country, usually inside 18 to 24 months on a south-facing deck. We pressure wash, let the wood dry fully, then apply a penetrating stain or sealer rated for UV exposure. Skipping the dry time is the most common reason a stain job fails within months.

Custom Deck Design

Multi-level decks, built-in benches, shade structures worked into the frame, we design around how you actually use the yard, not a stock layout. We draw it up, price the materials, and walk you through the tradeoffs before anything gets cut. Framing gets engineered to carry hot tubs, outdoor kitchens or anything heavier than furniture.

Composite Decking

Composite boards don't rot, splinter or require restaining, which matters here since wood dries and cracks fast in low humidity and heat. We install brands like Trex and TimberTech with hidden fastener systems for a clean look with no exposed screw heads. Composite costs more up front than pressure-treated lumber but requires almost nothing to maintain after that.

Deck Railing Installation & Repair

We replace wobbly posts, missing balusters and rot-damaged rail caps, and build new railing systems to current code height and baluster spacing. Cable rail, metal baluster and wood rail systems are all options depending on the look you want. A railing that doesn't meet the 4-inch baluster gap rule is a liability, not just a style choice.

Deck Resurfacing

If the frame underneath is still solid but the boards are cupped, splintering or faded past saving, we strip the old decking and lay new boards on the existing structure. This costs less than a full rebuild and usually takes a fraction of the time. We check every joist for soft spots before anything new goes down.

Deck Demolition & Removal

Old decks get torn out board by board, with lumber and fasteners hauled off so you're not stuck disposing of it yourself. We check footings and framing during teardown in case any of it can be reused for the new deck. Demo on a standard-size deck usually takes half a day.

Pergolas & Deck Covers

A pergola or shade cover cuts down how much direct sun a deck takes, which extends how long the stain and the boards themselves last. We build them attached to the house or freestanding, framed to carry the load of lattice, fabric or solid roofing. Post footings get sized the same way as the deck itself, not as an afterthought.

Deck Inspection & Structural Repair

Before you buy a house with an existing deck, or if yours just feels unsteady, we check the ledger connection, footings, joist condition and railing before anything gets cosmetic attention. We'll tell you flat out if a deck has to come down instead of patching it if the frame is too far gone. A written report covers what's sound, what's marginal and what has to be fixed now.

How It Works

Four steps, and no surprises in any of them.

01

We come and look

You tell us what you want doing, we look at what is actually there, and we ask the awkward questions early.

02

You get a price

In writing, itemised, free. If something might add cost later we flag it now rather than at the end.

03

We do the work

Same crew throughout. We cover your floors, keep the dust down and tidy up before we leave each day.

04

We walk it with you

You point out anything you are not happy with and we fix it before the invoice, not after.

Common Questions

Things worth asking

Questions that come up once a deck project actually gets underway.

Do I need a permit to build a deck in Clark County?
Most attached decks over 30 inches off the ground require a building permit and inspection in Clark County, and the permit process is handled as part of the job. Freestanding decks under a certain height and size may be exempt, but that's confirmed before construction starts, not assumed.
How long does it take to build a typical deck?
A standard single-level deck usually takes one to two weeks from footings to final board, weather and material availability permitting. Larger multi-level decks or ones with a pergola attached can run three to four weeks.
Can you build a deck to fit a specific budget?
Yes, decking material, railing style and size are the three biggest levers on cost, and any of them can be adjusted to hit a target budget. Pressure-treated lumber with a simpler railing brings the price down significantly compared to composite decking with cable rail.
Do you guarantee your deck work?
Workmanship on deck construction and repair is guaranteed, and materials used carry their own manufacturer warranty, which varies by product. Details on what's covered and for how long are included in the written quote.
Who do I deal with day to day during the project?
One crew handles the job from footings through final decking, so there's a consistent point of contact rather than different people showing up each day. Questions or changes during the build go through that same crew, not a separate office.
What decking materials do you work with?
Pressure-treated pine, cedar, redwood and composite brands like Trex and TimberTech are all used regularly, each with different upkeep and cost. Pressure-treated lumber is the least expensive upfront but requires restaining every couple of years, composite costs more initially but requires almost none.
Can I still use my yard while the deck is being built?
Most of the yard stays accessible during a deck build, though the immediate work area gets fenced off or blocked for safety, especially during footing and framing days. Power tools and material deliveries mean some noise and disruption during work hours.
What should I do to prepare the site before work starts?
Clearing furniture, potted plants and anything stored under an existing deck off the work area ahead of time speeds up the first day considerably. Sprinkler lines and buried utilities in the footing area get marked or located before digging starts.
What happens if you find rot or a problem once the old deck is torn out?
If rot, termite damage or a structural issue turns up once decking or framing is removed, it gets flagged and priced before further work continues, not added to the bill afterward as a surprise. In most cases this affects the ledger board or the rim joist behind the siding, which isn't visible until the old boards come off.
How do I take care of a new deck once it's finished?
Wood decks require restaining roughly every one to two years in a climate this sunny, longer if the deck is shaded part of the day. Composite decking mainly requires periodic washing to clear dust and debris, with no staining involved at all.
